Need to update timthumb - thumb.php?

Hi,
My host, LiquidWeb notified me of a problem with thumb.php in Element:

“We received a report that your server was running IRC processes. On
investigation, a timthumb.php thumbnail script had been abused to upload
malware. I patched the timthumb scripts on your server to be the latest
versions.”

I downloaded the latest version of Element this morning, and it’s still using Timthumb v.2.8 in thumb.php. The latest is v.2.8.2.
