Hi Casey
I like this new theme!

I think I have a problem with footers. On a default page with no footer widgets setup, the normal footer with the byline doesn’t show. Is that the expected behavior?

I managed to get it to show by add a line to footer.php right after

$footergrid "grid_8"

I added this line:

$footerwidgets="100"

just to give footerwidgets a value, which is a horrible kludge! What’s the right way to get the footer to show? I must have done something wrong…
cheers
Nick

Yes, the footer byline only shows when footer widgets are available.

You could move the div outside of the widgets conditional statement, but the CSS styles are intended for being displayed over a light background.

To remedy this, open footer.php and find:

</div><!--/footer-->
<?php endif;?>

and change to:

</div><!--/footer-->
<?php else :?>
<div id="bottom" class="light">
<?php
$curYear = date('Y');
 echo stripslashes(get_option('sthemes_footer_text')).'<br />';
 echo '&copy;'.$curYear.'&nbsp;'.get_bloginfo ('name');
?>
</div>
<?php endif;?>

Then add the following CSS to one of your stylesheets:

#bottom.light {
 color: #333;
 text-shadow: none;
}
