I saw the thread about removing a page title from a contact page (http://www.simplethemes.com/support/viewthread/581/) and I'd like to do the same but on a static home page. Currently I have created a New Page and gave it name "welcome." I'd like for "Welcome" not to appear in the page title and also not appear in the breadcrumb.

Do I need to create a page template for the home page? If so, what file do I base it on so that I can remove the page title code?

I am using the SYNAPSE theme.

Thanks

To hide the page title, you should be able to select the designer page template:

Is that what you're looking for?

Also, if you don't want the "Welcome" page title shown in the breadcrumb, why not just rename it to "Home" or something meaningful - since you're not displaying it anyway.

Thanks. It's embarrassing how easy that was! I removed "Welcome" from the page title field so it doesn't appear in the breadcrumb.
