I am using Element Child Theme.

How do I change on my blog to read instead of:
“No Comments” to say something like “No Comments yet, your thoughts are welcome”

How do I set up subscribe to this blog?

How do I set up subscribe to comments?

Thanks

For blog feed subscriptions, I’m not sure if you mean by RSS or email or where you want to add them for that matter. Any post and comments are retrievable via the /feed url segment.

For example:
Your blog RSS feed is: http://www.sarrobackandneck.com/feed/
Your blog comments RSS feed is: http://www.sarrobackandneck.com/feed/
An individual post comment RSS feed is: http://www.sarrobackandneck.com/weight-loss-7-tips-for-2013/feed/

If you mean by email, there are plugins for this. Here is one:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe-to-comments/

The “No Comments” text can be either changed in the theme’s language file or via child theme function. Changing the language file requires Poedit which is kind of overkill if you’re just trying to change one string of text. This is typically used for full language translations. To override via child theme, the function name is st_post_meta (found in lib/content_functions.php). If you copy that entire function to your child theme, you can not only change the “No Comments” text but add subscribe links as well.

Thank you for the response.

The plug in will handle the email subscriptions.

I will need to edit the child theme to change the “no comments” text.

I need to learn more about RSS.

I am still a newbie, this is my first website I built, and I am new to blogs.
