Personal Message: WordPress Menu Bar is not displaying
When I am logged in via WordPress, the top of some pages is not displaying properly; in particular the WordPress menu bar is missing.
How do I fix this problem?
I have not used forums ever or used wordpress much ....
So, any tips will be appreciated.
I can send a temporary login.
However, I didn’t want login information posted publicly if I send membership login info.
So part of my question is: how should I proceed.
If you want to PM me a test login, I’ll certainly take a look. I don’t know if it’s anything to do with the theme but I’ve never heard this one before. It looks like you have a member-protected page. It could be some sort of conflict with another third party add-on.
Casey—Thanks for your reply !!
The problem appears to be related to a conflict with Simple Themes and the Wishlist Member plugin that I am using.
Ronald at WishList Member wrote “It seems it’s widget functions is somehow using our WishlistMemberInstance and is calling a function that doesn’t exist on our code. I went ahead and edited your theme so that it won’t be able to use our instance anymore. I would suggest you copy the file synapse/lib/custom_widgets.php before you update and paste it after updating the theme. That’s the file I modified to fix the issue you’re having.”
After Ronald’s fix, the problem appears to have gone away.
Do you have any recommendations for me?
Is a problem like this common?
Is this a problem on the Simple Theme side? Or WishList Member?
Should I look for a different Membership plugin? Any that you recommend.
I tried PMing you, but it said your inbox is full. Please note that this site access is still functioning and anyone could get admin access to your site.
Thanks Becky. I’ve removed the info from his post.
