Hi there
I want a page (called 'RECIPES') that lists all posts from the category 'recipes'.

The short code I inserted into the page is as follows:

[latest cols="3" type="post" num="10" thumbs="true" excerpt="true" length="55" cat="recipes" orderby="date" order="DESC" offset="0"]

What I get is a page with every post.

I purchased the Presstige Theme.

When I deactivate the SimpleShortcodes plugin, and use a different posts plugin, the 'category' works. When SimpleShorcodes plugin is activated, none of the other posts list 'category' either.

Can anyone help, as I'd rather stick with SimpleShortcodes if possible.

Hi,

It looks like you're calling the category slug. You actually need the category ID.

If you're not sure how to get the category ID, this plugin adds a column to the category manager revealing the ID.

Thanks for your help. Yes, category ID does work.

Thanks again.
