we bought one of your themes and installed it on one site. However, we came across some problems when using your theme http://themes.simplethemes.com/lightfast/

Posts grid does not show the latest blog posts.

Please help resolve it. Thanks!

Hi, Can you provide more information?

Are you using the shortcode method or within the layout builder?

Is the category ID correct?
If so, are there any Posts in the category?

Can you provide a link to the problem?

Thanks,Casey. The problem has been solved. And I came across another problem with post grids.

The default mode of latest post grid is shown according to the number of words so the buttons are not always on the same horizontal line. Some titles are two lines while some occupy one line. It doesn’t look good.  We want the titles of posts, the excerpts to show according to the number of characters so they are even and on the same horizontal line.

Can we do this?

Looking forward to your reply and thanks in advance.

Outside of shortening the titles, there are two CSS options you could try.

1.) Add a rule that makes all headings the same height:

.latestposts .latest-item h4 {
    min
-height:50px;

2.) Add a min-height to the items and ensure the button is always positioned bottom right:

.latestposts .latest-item {
    position
:relative;

min-height:350px/* Post grid container min-height */
}
.latestposts .latest-item .button {
    position
:absolute;

bottom:0;

right:0;

As you may know, you can declare the above rules on a specific page using the body class, e.g;

body.home .latestposts .latest-item {
    position
:relative;
    .....

Hi there,

I used the second method you suggested, but it appeared like this (see the attachment).

Can you help solve it?

Thanks in advance.

1.) The gaps look to me like some rogue characters or white-space.Hard to tell just by a screenshot though.
2.) The extra lines of copy? Did you set the length on the shortcode? Does that particular post have text in the “Excerpt” box? If you enter text in the Excerpt box, the length parameter has no effect because it is filtered on the content.
