Hi,

In Lightfast, how do I customize my Menu’s Font, Size and Type?

Looking at the Parent Theme, I noticed Menu alone has so many lines of coding. Don’t want to mess it up.

So I want to do this in the Child Theme.

Your advice needed for this simple customization

Thanks.

Hi,

If you’ll open and edit wp-content/themes/lightfast-child/style.css (or via WP from: Appearance → Editor) you can add a custom rule toward the bottom.

This will override the parent theme style for the menu font-size:

#menu ul#nav li a {

font-size12px;

Hi,

It’s not working.

Copied this to the child theme css:

#menu ul#nav li a {

font-weightnormal;

text-decorationnone;

padding8px 0;
  -
moz-transitionall 0.25s ease-in-out;
  -
o-transitionall 0.25s ease-in-out;
  -
webkit-transitionall 0.25s ease-in-out;

transitionall 0.25s ease-in-out;

displayblock;

floatnone;

/*! Root Level Hover */
}
#menu ul#nav li a:hover {

color#333;

-moz-transitionall 0.25s ease-in-out;
  -
o-transitionall 0.25s ease-in-out;
  -
webkit-transitionall 0.25s ease-in-out;

transitionall 0.25s ease-in-out;
}
#menu ul#nav li.active a {

color#666;

Then changing only whats relevant to :

#menu ul#nav li a {

font-weightbold;
}

#menu ul#nav li a:hover {

color#333;
}

#menu ul#nav li.active a {

color#666;

text-shadow:5px 5px 10px black;

Hi Casey,

Now it is working. Probably the previous page versions were cached.

Thanks.
