Hi Casey,

I would like to set up and use the teaser position (assuming I understand this correctly to be the location directly to the right of the logo) with social media contact information but when trying to follow instructions from other posts (https://www.simplethemes.com/support/viewthread/2237/) I don’t actually see “Teaser Page” as a page template option for a new page?  I have attached a screenshot of what I see in the template options for a new page.

I am very new to WP so probably missing something obvious.  I am also not sure what you meant in the comment on the other post “are all the teaser options populated” - I can’t see any options?

Can you offer any further help to get me started please?

Regards
Barrie

Are you using the Lightfast theme? It looks like you may be using Breeze.(?)

The referenced Teaser widget location in Lightfast is this section:

Sorry Casey, yes I am using Breeze for this project (I am using Lightfast on another one)...  But yes it is the Breeze template that I urgently need help getting the teaser section working.  Should I repost in the Breeze template section of the forum instead?

I’m not sure what you’re going for, but what you probably want to do is add a custom function to your child theme’s functions.php since you’ll likely need custom HTML.

function mycustomteaser() { ?>

<div class="social_icons">
  <
ul>
   <
li><a href="http://twitter.com">twitter</a></li>
   <
li><a href="http://facebook.com">facebook</a></li>
   <
li><a href="http://linkedin.com">linkedin</a></li>
  </
ul>
 </
div>

<?php
}
add_action
('skeleton_header','mycustomteaser'3);

Then in your style{x}.css (e.g; style1.css) add something like:

.social_icons {
    float
right;
}
.social_icons ul {
    margin
:0;

padding:0;
}
.social_icons ul li {
    float
left;
    list-
style:none;

margin:0 4px;

Though I’m sure you’ll want to add CSS for custom icons or images.
