I would like to insert a video in my slider as opposed to a picture using (thumb nail) using breezing, onyx or impacto template.

I haven't tried it yet, but you could give it a shot.
Just create a slide with the "no image" setting, then paste your video embed code in the text area.

If i works I will update this post so others can use it.

I was able to test it with a Youtube video here:

Seems to be working fine smile

That was nice - a note though - the sub menu is in the wrong z-index as the video goes over it. A common flaw putting video and flash near a menu smile

Yes, that would need to be adjusted. Usually you can fix that by adding wmode="transparent to the Flash element, but the new YouTube embed code uses iframes.
Bumping the z-index to 999 (or so) the navigation div should fix it.

Actually, it wasn't a z-index issue. It should be fixed now.
I just had to add the "?wmode=transparent" to the YouTube URL.

Casey; I inserted text in the breeze slide but nothing appears. I have one slide.

http://moretradeshowsales.com/temp/?page_id=20

I did not insert the video code yet - just text.

I notice when I go to edit the slide I can only save it as pending I can't publish it.

I have text only checked and no image.

I inserted the video in the slide code how I do I get the pop up to appear over the video code?

What did I do wrong why wasn't the slide appearing? What Did I Do Wrong.

Would this work around be easier.

1. Place a photo in the slider and have it link to a video likebox overlay

If you can show me how to do that, it would be appreciated this way I get the benefits of the slider effects
plus video.

Do i need to download a pluggin?

I'm not sure what you mean here. You might want to make sure you can get your embed working standalone before trying to embed into a slide. I noticed the code you had in there before I inserted the slider was not working to begin with.

First of all, there was no slider inserted into the page. There was some video code that was not working. The reason the slides would not show up was because they were never published. Maybe you clicked "Save" instead of "Publish" when creating?

Try the above method with the wmode=transparent:

<iframe width="840" height="523" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ucQfl26MGBc?autoplay=1&rel=0&wmode=transparent" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
