Hello,

I wanted to know how to add really simple, hyperlinks to appear in the bottom of the footer next to the copyright information.

e.g. (c) My Website | Privacy | Contact | FAQs

with privacy, contact & FAQs being the hyperlinks. I’m assuming this is can be done simply coding in a bit of PHP into the footer.php or something, but I’m not sure the best method for doing this. Also can this same effect be achieved but the links be placed in the top right hand corner?

Cheers!

LOL, I figured out how to add the footer links (breeze theme options)...

however if you could still inform me how to add links/HTML to the top right hand corner of the site that would be awesome!

lastly of all, in terms of adding Google Analytics to the Breeze theme, do you recommed simply adding the tracking code in the specified location under Breeze theme options? or should i use a 3rd party plugin like google analyticor

cheers again

To add another menu position, you’ll need to login via FTP and open
wp-content/themes/breeze/lib/functions/theme_functions.php

First we need to add the new theme menu location, so find this line:

function st_addmenus() {
    register_nav_menus(
   array(
     'main-menu' => 'Main Navigation'
   ));
  }
add_action( 'init', 'st_addmenus' );

and change to:

function st_addmenus() {
    register_nav_menus(
   array(
     'main-menu' => 'Main Navigation',
     'top-menu' => 'Top Navigation'
   ));
  }
add_action( 'init', 'st_addmenus' );

Now open wp-content/themes/breeze_wp/header.php and find this line:

<?php st_navbar(); ?>

Just above this line add this:

<div id="topnav">
<?php st_topnav(); ?>
</div>

Lastly, open style{x}.css (depending on what style you’re using) and add this around line #50 before the Main Menu rules:

/* Top Menu */

/* ---- Positioning ---- */

#topnav {
 position: absolute;
 right: 0;
 top: 10px;
}

#topnav ul,#topnav li {
 float: left;
 list-style: none;
 margin: 0;
 padding: 0;
}

/* ---- Link Style ---- */

#topnav li a {
 font-size: .95em;
 margin-left: 10px;
 padding: 0px 5px;
 color: blue;
}
#topnav li a:hover {
 color: red;
}

To enable the menu, go to Appearance → Menus and create a new menu. Assign it to the Top Navigation position.

As for the Google Analytics code, there shouldn’t be any need for additional plugins. The theme function does the same exact thing.

hey I just noticed on the first part, where you say “First we need to add the new theme menu location, so find this line:”.. you say to change the code from that to the next bit, but the 2 bits of code are exactly the same.

just a bit confused.

My apologies. I must’ve had a sticky clipboard.
I’ve updated the above code.
