Correct Way To Setup Blog?

Hi Casey,

I have setup the wordpress using http://www.simplethemes.com/tutorials/help/home-page-setup and have a page called “Blog” setup with the slug of “blog”.

Make a post but when I browse the /blog, I am not seeing the widget shows up on the left pages. On the Blog page, I have select left side bar. Went into the Widget, drag the Cloud Tag and Archive to Left Post and Left Pages, not showing up when I browse the /blog.

Looking to something like this http://www.simplethemes.com/wordpress-themes/demo/presstige on the main Blog page and when click the post title to read more, the left side bar remain.

In your theme preferences, do you have the default sidebar set to display on the right or left?
