Hello,

I'd like to customize the colour scheme of Synapse and wonder what the easiest way to do so is? Will customising the colours for text follow through into the general layout blocks also? Or should I create a child theme?

Thanks,
Kate

I would create a child theme for sure then customise the CSS - just doing the same here.

The best way to do this would be to choose one of the preset styles as a base that most closely matches your desired color scheme.

Most HTML typography colors can be changed in the theme settings panel
The widget styles and "read more" links require CSS modifications.
The background images and gradients can be edited in the Fireworks/Photoshop source files.

So if you chose style1 as a base, you would edit style1.css and replace images located in the images/style1/ folder. The sliced PSD/PNG source files can be found in the Synapse_Sources.zip file. You can modify and export these images in Adobe Fireworks or Photoshop then just upload and replace.
