Is there any way to have the drop down menus be on top of iFrames and Embedded videos?

I know this is probably not theme related but is there any way to have the Optin Crusher popup on the bottom of the page not be covered by the video in the iFrame

I don’t see the menu going below the video in Firefox, but I do remember someone who ran into the same issue with another theme and was resolved by passing a “transparent” parameter to the video.

See this post:

Hopefully this will resolve both issues with the menu and Optin Crusher.

It does work fine in FireFox. But not in Chrome and IE9.  I don’t understand the reply. What is a transparent parameter?

When you embed a YouTube video in an iframe, the embed code YouTube provides looks like this:

<iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/sEhy-RXkNo0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

but in order for the menus to render above the video, you’ll need modify the video URL by adding the “wmode=transparent”  like so:

(notice the src=”..” attribute)

<iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/sEhy-RXkNo0?wmode=transparent" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

If you view the second slide in this example, you can see the embed code used. In order for Flash to render below elements, it must have a transparent window mode.
