On the search box in the top toolbar the Search… word gets cut off at the bottom in IE9. It’s fine in Chrome and FireFox

The Search widget stacks the button above the search field in Firefox and IE9 and Looks OK in Chrome

Isn’t compatability fun!

Thanks for the report.
To fix the text cut-off in IE9, open master.css, and change:
(I’ve updated the repository with this as well)

#nav_search #s.input_small {
 width: 200px;
 padding: 5px 10px 5px 30px;
 margin: 0 0 0 0;
 border-radius: 20px;
 -moz-border-radius: 20px;
 -webkit-border-radius: 20px;
 -khtml-border-radius: 20px;
 position: relative;
 behavior: url('./wp-content/themes/presstige/css/PIE.php');
}

to:

#nav_search #s.input_small {
 width: 200px;
 padding: 0px 10px 0px 30px;
 margin: 0 0 0 0;
 border-radius: 20px;
 -moz-border-radius: 20px;
 -webkit-border-radius: 20px;
 -khtml-border-radius: 20px;
 position: relative;
 behavior: url('./wp-content/themes/presstige/css/PIE.php');
}

I’ll look into the search widget issue. From the screenshot, it looks like the column may need to be wider to accommodate it.

@chamberinternet If you’ll go to Appearance → Editor → and edit searchform.php

Find this line:

<input type="submit" id="searchsubmit" value="<?php esc_attr_e('Search…', 'smpl'); ?>" />

and change to:

<input type="submit" id="searchsubmit" value="<?php esc_attr_e('Search', 'smpl'); ?>" />
